As a recruitment agency we are bound by both the Employment Agencies Act and the Data Protection Act of 2018 (GDPR) which supersedes all previous Data Protection Acts. With regard to data protection we must comply with the regulations therein which are designed to protect any information you provide for us. At all times we will comply with the provisions of the Act and any regulations or orders that are made under this Act.

This section explains what information Independent Appointments collects, and how it is used:
In order to assist you in the recruitment process we will essentially need a wide variety of information about you including personal details such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, an educational history and particulars about your professional working life. We will also collect information regarding contact that we make with you (or vice versa) throughout the recruitment process in order to efficiently and effectively assist you.
From time to time we may also contact you to gather information, with your consent, to gain feedback on the service we provide to you.
All the information you provide either via telephone call, email or through our website will only be used for the company’s stated business and will not be passed on or sold to any other third parties (unless stated) without your prior consultation and approval.
Unless you contact us and express your wish to request the ‘right to be forgotten’ (please see below) your information will be retained for 5 years. If no meaningful contact has been made with you within this timeframe your details will be removed from our database. We will contact you to confirm that this action has been taken
We will only process the data that you provide whereby it is necessary to assist you in the recruitment process or you have given your consent to do so. Such an example would be emailing a client (with your consent) with your details to apply for a relevant job opportunity.
You have the right to object to how your data is being processed. You also have the right to restrict the processing of your data or withdraw your consent completely.
