A vacancy has arisen in Leeds for a Compliance Officer with a technical insurance background to work closely with technical managers. Will be responsible for supporting compliance risk management activities and co-ordinating data protection activities and legal and regulatory requirements.  Working with managers to assist them in evaluating new product propositions, analyse underwriting data and administrate binder authorities.  You will be involved in considering change to policy cover and the implications for the UK book of business. 

There will be direct involvement in the implementation of legal and regulatory changes and the provision of conduct risk management information.  You will also monitor and implement underwriting protocols and report adherance to underwriting guidelines.  The role will involve an ongoing number of specific projects, both leading and part of teams involved. 

Applicant Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally come from an underwriting background, with ACII qualification or equivalent.  This experience will include operational ability and a knowledge of legal and regulatory liaison developing strong technical and analytical skills.  You will have good IT skills and experience of platforms.
