Insurance Broker New Business - Leeds City Centre – A very competitive annual basic salary plus an excellent benefits package including performance related annual Bonus, Pension, DIS, 25 holidays plus extra days during the year and the option to buy and sell additional, health & wellbeing support & various discounts 

An experienced New Business Insurance Broker is required to join a renowned, Independent Management Owned Insurance Brokers in Leeds City Centre who are also a registered Lloyd’s Broker.  You will join a vastly experienced team and work alongside Senior Management/Directors.  As well as a very competitive annual basic salary, you will also receive a very generous performance related annual bonus, 25 days holiday plus extra days to buy or sell, Contributory Pension, 2X DIS, health & wellbeing support plus various discounts available. The role will be office based working Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm with an hour for lunch. 

As an experienced New Business Insurance Broker you will be responsible for managing your own corporate portfolio with premiums up to £100k and in excess of. You will work with new clients building and maintaining strong fruitful business relationships by taking time to fully understand and assess their Insurance needs and Risk profile.    Working closely with your clients you will research insurance companies policies and negotiate with underwriters to find the most suitable insurance for your clients at the best price.  You will ensure your clients’ understand the terms and the extent of the cover provided in line with industry regulations.  A vital part of the role will be to provide advice to your clients on risk management and help to devise new ways to mitigate risk.

About you:

  • An excellent communicator with exceptional client relationship skills
  • The ability to build, manage and develop business relationships
  • Corporate Insurance Broking experience
  • Be confident to advise and negotiate with clients and underwriters
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness
  • An Insurance background with excellent Insurance market knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Have an understanding of client confidentiality and how to be discreet
  • A passion for winning new business and a strong awareness of your competitors within the market
  • Be able to think outside the box
  • Excellent IT and systems experience
  • Industry qualifications or be working towards
