Job Profile

This role is to manage the performance and capacity of Contractors within the supply chain of building contractors and other suppliers to meet or exceed key performance metrics.

You will be expected to implement the company's supply chain strategy delivering against the necessary quality, service level, cost and other objectives and to manage agreed projects through to delivery. The role will be home based, but you must effectively manage and drive improvements in performance of all contractors and suppliers within the South East region a geographic area of the UK, which could include occasional overnight stays and regular travel.

Candidates must have a detailed understanding of current H&S, Asbestos and CDM regulations/legislation and an understanding of the insurance service market. You must also have a good knowledge and understanding of FCA regulations.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant construction qualification desirable - CIOB/RICS
  • Insurance qualification (CII/CILA) desirable
  • Commitment to achieve an industry recognised qualification (CIOB/CII/CILA)
  • Good knowledge of general insurance and claims management market and claims management services
  • Excellent influencing skills, inspiring confidence and respect with communications at all levels
  • Good technical skills and problem solving ability to recognise difficulties and take proactive measures to overcome problems
  • Well developed and effective written and verbal communication skills, to articulate complex issues
  • Strong organisation and time management skills; to deliver on a variety of actions to tight timescales
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good dispute resolution handling skills to manage disputes effectively and proactively
  • Strong financial literacy skills to analyse and interpret numerical data
  • Strong computer literacy skills to make effective use of a variety of ICT platforms and applications
